What would I do differently about sky? (a.k.a. sky sucks)

As my most recent subpar song hit DSPs beautifully late, yet again. I was relistening to it, realized it's... yeah, subpar.

First of all, I like stereo separation, I like a not-so-audible but also-kinda-audible bassline in the background, sounds all over and around you, among other things. sky lacks bass, the drum sample is just in the middle with ZERO separation, the bass is basically non-existent.

Next time, I should run the song from GarageBand to FL Studio so I can use some plugins. Sure, I won't be able to tweak specific samples, but I most definitely can EQ it much better.

I should've noticed these glaring issues way earlier...

UPDATE: i also shouldn't have LOST THE PROJECT FILE 🤦‍♀️
